Reading through the Bible in a year is a big challenge that brings great rewards. Pastor Charles has encouraged us to do just that. Let's make this year a year that we learn and grow as we read God's word together in a deliberate and consistent manner. And no time of year is a bad time to start (that statement can be read two ways; think about it).
Pastor Charles has proposed and distributed a schedule that he feels is a nice change from the common read-from-beginning-to-end (Gen-Rev) approach or the do-it-all-(OT/NT/Psalms)-each-day approach. Here is the first bit to get you going.
| January 1 | Genesis 1-3 | | January 8 | Ezra 6-10 | | January 2 | Genesis 4-6 | | January 9 | Matthew 1-3 | | January 3 | Genesis 7-9 | | January 10 | Matthew 4-6 | | January 4 | Genesis 10-12 | | January 11 | Matthew 7-9 | | January 5 | Genesis 13-15 | | January 12 | Genesis 19-21 | | January 6 | Genesis 16-18 | | January 13 | Genesis 22-24 | | January 7 | Ezra 1-5 | | January 14 | Genesis 25-27 |

(These schedules are the corrected version. The laminated one had a minor error.)
January through June July through December

There is great encouragement in knowing that others are participating in this with you. Along those lines, you are encouraged to find others and share your insights, progress and other learning with them. As one means of aiding this process, we have set up a web site that will host on-line discussion among those participating in this reading schedule. This is on the Harvest Church blog at HarvestChurch.blogspot.com. Please join the discussion or just read others comments to be encouraged to read your bible more.
